HOW TO TAKE SCREENSHOTS IN LAPTOP
Taking a screenshot on a laptop depends on the operating
system it's running. Here are the methods for some common operating systems:
Windows:
- Full
Screen Screenshot: Press the "PrtScn" (Print Screen) key on
your keyboard. This captures the entire screen. The screenshot is copied
to your clipboard, and you can paste it into an image editing program
(like Paint) and save it.
- Active
Window Screenshot: To capture only the active window, press "Alt
+ PrtScn". Again, you'll need to paste and save the screenshot.
- Snipping
Tool: If you're using Windows 10, you can also use the built-in
Snipping Tool or Snip & Sketch app to capture specific areas of the
screen.
MacOS:
- Full
Screen Screenshot: Press "Command (⌘) + Shift + 3". The
screenshot will be saved as a file on your desktop.
- Partial
Screenshot: Press "Command (⌘) + Shift + 4". Your
cursor will turn into a crosshair. Click and drag to select the area you
want to capture. The screenshot will be saved as a file on your desktop.
- Screenshot
of a Window: Press "Command (⌘) + Shift + 4" followed
by the "Spacebar". Your cursor will turn into a camera icon.
Click on the window you want to capture. The screenshot will be saved as a
file on your desktop.
Linux:
- Full
Screen Screenshot: Press the "PrtScn" key to capture the
entire screen. The screenshot might be saved to your "Pictures"
folder or the clipboard, depending on your system.
- Partial
Screenshot: Press "Shift + PrtScn" or "Ctrl + Shift +
PrtScn", then click and drag to select the area you want to capture.
- Screenshot
of a Window: Press "Alt + PrtScn" to capture the active
window.
Remember that these shortcuts can vary depending on your
laptop's keyboard layout and any custom settings you might have. If these
methods don't work as expected, you might need to consult your laptop's user
manual or perform an online search specific to your laptop model and operating
system version.
